Who we are
Knockround is run by Joseph Samadi, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Email hello@knockround.co.uk about anything here. "You" means the business that signs up.
Your plan
Knockround costs £19.99 a month or £199 a year. The first 7 days are free, with no card needed to start. When the 7 days are up, Knockround asks for a card to carry on; the plan is then paid from that card each month or year until you stop it. If you add a card during the free week, the first payment is taken when the week ends. If you never add a card, you pay nothing.
Referrals
Your link is in More, Refer a friend. Each new account that signs up with it and moves on to a paid plan takes 20% off your plan for as long as that plan stays paid; five or more make your plan free. A friend counts from when their paid plan starts (not during their free week) and stops counting when they cancel or a payment fails. The discount changes from your next payment. Your own accounts don't count, and we may change or end referrals with 30 days' notice; discounts already earned stay until then.
You can stop at any time in Billing. It runs to the end of the month or year you've paid for and isn't charged again. We don't refund part of a month or year, except where the law says we must. We'll email you at least 30 days before any change to the price.
Your data
What you put in Knockround is yours: your customers, visits, prices, payments and photos. You can download it as a spreadsheet at any time (More, Your data) and delete it at any time. If you delete your account, everything in it is deleted straight away, and from our backups within 30 days.
For your customers' details, you're in charge and we act for you. The data processing terms below say how.
What we ask of you
Keep the email you sign in with secure, as anyone who can read it can sign in. You're responsible for the people you add to your team.
The messages you send customers from Knockround (reminders, heads-ups, quotes, bills and review requests, by email, WhatsApp or text) are yours, and they must be lawful. Only message people who are your customers or have asked you to, and get their agreement before messaging them on WhatsApp. Don't use Knockround for marketing to people who haven't agreed to it, or for anything unlawful.
If you ask customers for Google reviews, ask everyone who has paid you in the same way, not only the ones you expect to be happy, and never offer anything in return for a review. Knockround asks each customer once, and only once they've paid in full; the email after a payment goes only if you turn it on, and says they can reply to say no. Reviews you didn't earn, or asked for unfairly, are against Google's rules and UK law.
Your invoices show the business details you add in Settings. Keep them accurate: an invoice should carry your business's name, address and contact details.
What you put on your Knockround website must be true. Reviews must be real, from real customers, in their words.
Card payments
If you take card payments, they go through your own Stripe account, under Stripe's terms between you and Stripe. The money goes straight to you. Knockround takes no share of it; Stripe charges you its own fees.
Keeping it running
We work to keep Knockround running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or never go wrong. It works without signal for a while, and you can download your data whenever you like.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
Apart from that, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses.
Ending
You can stop your plan, or delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why first where we can.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 30 days before. Carrying on after that means you accept the change.
Data processing terms
These apply to the personal data of your customers that you keep in Knockround. You're the controller of that data and Knockround is your processor, under UK data protection law.
- We use it only to run Knockround for you, as you use it. We don't use it for anything else, and we never sell it.
- Anyone at Knockround who can see it is bound to keep it confidential.
- We keep it secure: it's sent encrypted, stored in Cloudflare's data centres in the European Union, and only reached through your account.
- We use these other companies (sub-processors) to run Knockround: Cloudflare (hosting, the database and photos), Resend (sending emails), Google (only if you choose "Continue with Google": it tells us your name and email), Stripe (plans, and card payments through your own Stripe account), postcodes.io (turning a postcode into a place on the map: it receives postcodes only) and MET Norway (the rain forecast: it receives an approximate location only). We'll tell you before adding another.
- We'll help you answer requests from your customers about their data, and help you meet your other duties as a controller.
- If we find that data has been lost or seen by someone who shouldn't have it, we'll tell you without delay.
- When you delete it, or your account, we delete it (from backups within 30 days). You can download it first at any time.
- We'll give you the information you need to show these terms are kept.
The law
These terms are under the law of England and Wales.
